Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 2026
These Terms govern your use of Payclio Payments. By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Who can use Payclio
You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter into contracts in your country of residence, and not on any applicable sanctions list. Business accounts must be operated by an authorized individual.
2. Identity verification (KYC)
You agree to provide accurate identity information, including a government-issued ID number, proof of address, and supporting documents on request. We may suspend or close your account if we cannot verify your identity or detect fraud, money laundering, or sanctions risk.
3. Your account and security
- You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- Keep your password confidential and enable two-step verification.
- If you suspect unauthorized access, tell us immediately at security@payclio.com.
4. Wallets and balances
Each Payclio account ships with a free USD wallet. Additional currency wallets carry a one-off creation fee, displayed before you commit. Balances are held with our regulated banking partners, they are not insured deposits unless we explicitly say so.
5. Payments, payment links, and card acceptance
- Payments between users are final and irrevocable once authorized.
- Card payments are processed by a PCI-DSS-compliant card processor. We charge a card-processing fee (see the pricing page).
- Chargebacks and disputes on card payments may be deducted from your wallet balance.
6. Cards (virtual and physical)
Cards are issued through our card-issuing partner. You agree to the cardholder terms presented at issuance. We can freeze or cancel a card at any time for compliance, security, or service-availability reasons.
7. Fees
Current fees (wallet creation, card processing, top-up, withdrawals, FX markup, card issuance) are listed on the pricing page and may be updated with at least 14 days' notice via email or in-app banner.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use Payclio to:
- break any law in your jurisdiction or ours;
- fund or receive payments for fraud, terrorism, child sexual-abuse material, illegal drugs or weapons, or sanctioned activities;
- impersonate another person or business;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse our APIs.
9. Suspension and closure
We may suspend or close your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, our policies, or applicable law, or to comply with a regulator's request. We will return any remaining balance to you, subject to compliance checks and legal hold requirements.
10. Communications
You consent to receive transactional messages (login codes, payment receipts, security alerts) via WhatsApp, SMS, or email. Marketing emails are opt-in and you can unsubscribe at any time.
11. Intellectual property
The Payclio name, logo, and product designs are our property. You may not reproduce them without written permission.
12. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Payclio is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may update the Service or these Terms. Material changes are notified by email or in-app banner at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Windhoek, Namibia.
